The IASYM regional colloquium is open to anyone involved in children’s, youth and emerging/young adult ministry as teachers, lecturers, researchers or thoughtful practitioners across the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
The colloquium is an opportunity for delegates to share and engage with the latest scholarship and research related to Christian ministry among young people. The three-day residential program also provides a forum for strengthening professional networks.
The program for 2015 offers three formats for engagement and interaction: presentations, research papers, and research proposals:
- Presentations of completed work give opportunity to hear and discuss current thinking in children’s and youth ministry.
- Research Papers present works in progress as part of ongoing research in children’s, youth and emerging/young adult ministry.
- Research proposals sessions provide an opportunity to engage with preliminary thoughts for new projects. These sessions provide an opportunity for new or emerging researchers to road-test ideas and receive feedback in a constructive environment.
The Colloquium will be held at
Mary Mackillop Place
7-11 Mount Street
Tourist landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Darling Harbour and Sydney’s central business district are a short bus or train trip away (see http://www.sydney.com/ for tourist information).
